On June 20th at the Walhachin Bridge over the Thompson River Bill’s family and a few friends said a final goodbye and deposited his ashes in a place he nearly lost his life back in the 1960s. Back then Bill had a rod and gun shop in Kamloops and was fishing the Thompson with three friends and lost control of the boat just above the railway bridge at Walhachin and it crashed into a pier, overturned and all four dumped into the Thomson. Bill suffered some injuries and Randy Scott’s dad managed to get life jackets to all and Bill especially as he is losing consciousness.
