Looking at my CDC Caddis, expert fly-tiers are going to say “That’s nothing new- it’s an elk hair caddis!” Yes, it is very similar to originator Halliday’s Elk Hair Caddis in looks and make-up, but there are subtle differences; most noticeably, the use of deer hair and a trailing shuck.
